GENERAL CONDITIONS OF SALE

1. Prices
Prices are given in euros. Assimil reserves the right to change its prices at any time. Items will be invoiced at the current price at the time you placed your order. Items for sale on www.assimil.com are reserved for retail customers. They remain the property of Assimil until full payment has been received. Assimil reserves the right to cancel or reject an order from a customer with whom there is a dispute over payment for a previous order. Customs duties, local taxes or import duties may apply to items dispatched outside mainland France. Customs duties and taxes are not the responsibility of Assimil; they must be borne by the recipient who is fully liable. Contact your local customs office for more information. Assimil reserves the right to refuse to refund items if the customer fails to pay customs duties or taxes.

2. Availability
Availability of items depends on stocks. Assimil undertakes to inform you as soon as possible if an item becomes unavailable. Unless you instruct us otherwise, your order will be dispatched as soon as the article is in stock again.

3. Delivery
Items will be delivered to the delivery address you indicate when placing your order. Delivery takes two business days plus transit. Assimil reserves the right to split orders into several packages. Shipping and handling will still be charged at the rate for sending the items in a single package. To track the delivery status of your order, visit the carrier's website or contact Customer Service on +33 (0)1 4576 8737, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Payment must be received before any items will be dispatched. If an item is lost in transit, Assimil will investigate with the carrier as soon as the customer has notified us of a problem. Assimil undertakes to resend the items at its own expense within six weeks to mainland France or eight weeks to other destinations starting with the day on which the incident was reported and after the carrier has confirmed that the items are irretrievably lost. Under no circumstances will Assimil be held liable for damage to the package or its contents in transit.

4. Payment options
You can pay for your orders by credit card: CB, Visa or MasterCard on the www.assimil.com website, or by fax to +33 (0)1 4594 0655, or by phone on +33 (0)1 4576 8737, or by cheque – if you have a bank account in the euro zone, in euros only – made out to Assimil. For other payment options, please contact Customer Service.To manage transactions securely and prevent fraud, we carry out checks on some orders. We may ask you to provide proof of your address and/or identity.

5. Returns
If the item delivered is not what you ordered or is faulty, Assimil undertakes to replace it or refund the purchase price. You may return a faulty or incorrect item within seven days starting with the day on which the item is delivered to us at the address of our registered office. You must return incorrect items in their original sealed packaging and Assimil will refund you the cost of returning the item according to our schedule, e.g. up to € 7.90 for mainland France, with proof of payment. The refund will be credited to the credit card account you used to make the purchase using our secure server or by cheque made out to the customer who placed the order and sent to the customer's invoice address.
