Arabic course for Spanish speakers

Arabic is the official language in 22 countries, i.e. approx. 300 million speakers worldwide. There are many Arabic dialects, but there is a modern version of Arabic, that has been instrumental in unifying the language. It’s the Arabic used by the media which is taught in this course. This common language is very close to classic or literary Arabic, and is known as \"unified modern Arabic\". You easily learn to read and assimilate many simple constructions and phrases used in everyday life while also learning to write, in a very progressive way. As you learn, you gradually gain the means to express yourself and make yourself understood in an Arabic-speaking environment. The tips accompanying the lessons guide you step by step to independence. Once you have finished, you will be able to understand the press and radio and express yourself in all everyday situations.

The recordings include all the texts in Arabic for each lesson and the translation exercises from the book. These progressively more challenging texts have been recorded by professional native speakers. You can download all or part of the MP3 CD recordings on your MP3 player and view the texts at the same time.

  • Lively, useful dialogue
  • Carefully-constructed progression
  • Exercises and revision
