You can check a certain number of factors:
If you are using a Windows or macOS PC:
- Has the mic been activated in the Windows/macOS settings menu? For macOS, please check that you have authorised the app to access it in “System Preferences" (Apple online support).
- If yes, are you able to register using a different app? With the Windows voice recorder, for example?
- If you have an antivirus/firewall, has it blocked the mic’s access to the Assimil app? You may or may not have been asked to authorise this or perhaps it has been blocked automatically?
If you are in Android or iOS:
- Have you authorised the app to access the mic when you were asked, or in the system settings?
