Brazilian Portuguese is spoken by over 200 million people and accounts for 80% of the world’s Portuguese speakers. It is clear that, in terms of structure and syntax, it is the same language, but one enriched by many distinctive features and lexical additions.
Our course, based on daily study of parallel dialogues in Brazilian Portuguese and French, is structured around two carefully designed and progressive phases. In the first phase, learners immerse themselves in the language by listening to realistic dialogues and reading the explanatory notes, while checking and confirming their knowledge through a series of short exercises. The second phase, which begins midway through the course, activates those skills and puts them into practice, particularly through translating the dialogues. By practising regularly, learners will acquire a solid grounding in everyday vocabulary and usage, as well as the fundamental rules of grammar. The entire course, comprising around one hundred lessons, takes just a few months to complete.
